Student Teaching Awards Logo

A senior lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Mathematical Sciences has been nominated for the very first Students' Union Teaching Awards, which are voted for by Brookes students.

Nick Bowler, Senior Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering, won the award for his involvement in Formula Student.

The aims of the awards are to:

  1. Celebrate some of the brilliant teaching, teachers and support staff here at Oxford Brookes
  2. Share 'good practice' to ensure that the styles and methods that are working, are highlighted and shown to other members of staff in order to help promote what we as students like and, by extension don't like.

Other award catagories include Best Academic Advisor, Best Support Staff Member, Best Student Support Coordinator, Best Taught Module, Best Single Learning Experience, Most Effective Feedback, Most Inspirational Lecturer and an award for the staff member who was gone Above and Beyond.
