Oxford Brookes celebrates another successful year at the Autosport International Show

Brookes Stand at the Autosport International Show

The Autosport International Show, which is held annually at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham during Motorsport Business Week, attracts over 81,000 visitors over a course of four days and is Europe’s largest dedicated motorsport exhibition.

Exhibitors range from specialist engineering companies and major manufacturers to universities, and everything in between. This is Oxford Brookes 12th year at the show, and it was attended by both Engineering staff and students, including the Formula Student Team.

This year the department exhibited the current single-seater racing car designed and predominantly built by the Oxford Brookes Formula Student Racing Team, and the prototype V-Twin engine which was built by the formula racing students for their car. All proved to be a big success with the visitors.

"Autosport International is a fantastic resource for Automotive and Motorsport Engineering students"

An Autosport representative commented, “Autosport International is a fantastic resource for Automotive and Motorsport Engineering students, both current and prospective. It is an ideal networking hub for like-minded people, and an excellent opportunity for prospective students to speak to our staff and students about the course, the university itself, accommodation, and the social life first hand”.
